Progress Finally!

So it's been a while since my last post...... I was contemplating selling the car, dropped it back down off the jack stands. Once I had it back down on the ground, I decided to keep it again.

First thing I had to do was drain the old tarnished gas out of the original 1941 gas tank. The tank was pretty rusted, and there was no way the drain plug was opening. With the help of a tiny chizzel, and a few wacks of a hammer, I punctured a little hole in the tank to get it to drain........ and boy does that gas STINK!

Once the gas was drained out, I unbolted the 3 tank bolts holding it in place and slid it out. Came out pretty easy, I think someone had previously removed the tank so the bolts weren't completely rusted.
